Niagara Developer Program

Program Overview

Tridium is committed to supporting the Niagara developer community, including assisting new developers in becoming acquainted with the Niagara Framework^®.

We invite enterprising developers to join this community, leveraging the strength of Niagara Framework to reach new markets, help improve customer satisfaction, bid more projects, offer new services, and extend the functionality of new and existing systems.

The openness of Niagara allows developers to create unique products, applications, plug-ins, data views and business application logic.

Our Developer Program is intended for both experienced developers and developers who are new to Niagara Framework as well as those who are creating software and want it to work with Niagara Cloud Suite.

To assist your business and help you develop, the Developer Program is focused on four main areas:

Improved Access to Knowledge

Developer Program members will have access to the main source of information about developing for Niagara Framework from Tridium’s developer team. Developers will be able to find all available developer information in one place. Members of the Developer Program will have a dedicated section in Tridium’s Resource Center with access to developer documentation, including regularly updated documents like tips & tricks and recordings of technical councils. In addition, a discount is available to Developer Program members for certification program trainings.

Active Communication

Being up to date and aware of changes or upgrades in Niagara Framework is important to success in developing software in connection with Niagara Framework. It is also important for Tridium to hear feedback from our developers on both technical and business topics. Regular developer communications will be offered such as technical updates on breaking changes and business strategy through Developer Councils.

Commercial Positioning & Promotion

We want to help members of our Developer Program succeed in their business and sell more Niagara-based applications. Becoming a member of the Developer Program provides the opportunity for promotion on the Partner Locator, with a special developer badge. When listing solutions on the Niagara Marketplace, developers will receive an exciting commercial position on the marketplace and an opportunity to promote their solution during Tridium events such as the Niagara Summit or Niagara Forum (*details to be determined for each event separately). Members of the Developer Program will also receive a customized certificate to display on their web page or at their office.

Tools & Support

Members of the Developer Program have access to several important tools like Niagara Central and its licensing capabilities, early access releases to have a sneak peek into pending Niagara versions to be deployed, and, upon request and execution of an agreement with our Professional Services team, limited access to Niagara Cloud API Sandbox to test applications with Niagara Cloud Suite solutions. Our developer support team is ready to help members of the Developer Program when they need it.

Tridium Developer Program Tiers:

Premium Tier: For developers/companies who are developing for Niagara Framework, need tools and support, but would also like to try Niagara Cloud.

Cloud Tier: For developers/companies who are interested in getting data out of Niagara Cloud Suite and need access to Niagara Cloud API Sandbox to test and tune solutions.
