More devices than ever are 'Powered by Niagara', empowering the industry to construct complete top-to-bottom Niagara solutions. With the release of Niagara Framework® 4.13, even more system architectures can take advantage of the power of Niagara's System Indexing and Database.
Multi-Tiered System Database (Db) establishes an entity data model to enable querying of the entire Niagara system from a single location. It supports Niagara Network architectures of any layout to provide a complete framework solution. Expedite UI navigation of global, regional, and local supervisors and downstream controllers through virtual Px views and hierarchies.
Design more efficiently with Multi-Tiered System Db
- Reachable Stations
- The Niagara Network can now identify all downstream station-to-station connections, mapping routes across a multi-tiered Niagara system from top to bottom
- Improvements to the “nspace” ORD scheme allow resolving Niagara virtuals found along a reachable station route
- Multi-Tiered System Indexing
- Expanding upon the introduction of the SystemDb in Niagara 4.6 where only direct subordinate station entities could be indexed into the SystemDb, System Indexing can now optionally include the subordinate's subordinate stations and beyond
- Multi-Tiered Virtual Px Support
- Optimized Px ORD binding translation to resolve virtual Px views on virtual components along a reachable station route
- Improved Px file on-demand import to retrieve Px files in a multi-tiered Niagara system
Chris Riccobono, Sr. Product Manager and Scott Hoye, Software Engineer, cover the ins and outs of Multi-Tiered System Db. Through this demonstration, participants receive an end-to-end deep dive on how to use the Multi-Tiered System Db along with the exciting new enhancements included in Niagara 4.13.
