The OAS I/O WEB Module Configurator is based on the software module OASModbusUtilitiesAsync. Simple, transparent, effective. The SBS I/O fieldbus modules enable the connection of digital or analog input and output values with the Modbus protocol. All necessary communication settings are made simply, transparently and effectively with the OAS I/O WEB module configurator.

Available settings of the OAS I/O WEB Module Configurator:

For all modules with digital inputs:

- setting color change - setting the LED color for signaling the digital inputs - changeover normally open / normally close - activation bounce protection

For all modules with digital outputs:

OAS I/O WEB Module Configurator

The OAS I/O WEB Module Configurator is based on the software module OASModbusUtilitiesAsync.

Simple, transparent, effective.

The SBS IOM I/O fieldbus modules enable the connection of digital or analog input and output values with the Modbus protocol. All necessary communication settings are made simply, transparently and effectively with the OAS I/O WEB module configurator.

The OAS I/O WEB Module Configurator is used to configure communication with the controller in automatic mode via the RS 485 interface. The OAS I/O WEB Module Configurator is thus also a key to integrating the OAS I/O fieldbus modules into the Niagara platform. The configurable settings depend on the type of fieldbus module: digital or analog - according to the type of inputs and outputs, color change and LED color can be set for signaling active digital inputs or outputs, switching between normally open and normally closed, feedback protection, activation of safe position in case of malfunctions in the bus system, setting of analog characteristic curves, etc.

The configuration, monitoring and control of the inputs and outputs is implemented in automatic mode via the RS 485 interface.

Question: Is this module also compatible with other Modbus IO devices?

No, this module is only compatible with OAS SBS IOM I/O fieldbus modules.

Question: How many Modbus devices does it support on one Modbus line?

The license allows you to connect up to 16 Modbus devices on line (serial port).

If you need more devices, you have to purchase a second license for your Niagara controller and connect those devices to the Modbus line (serial port).

Question: Which Modbus type is currently supported by this module?

This module currently supports Modbus RTU.

However, a Modbus TCP version is coming soon, which allows you to connect the OAS SBS IOM I/O fieldbus modules via Modbus TCP using a gateway.
