BACnet Bootcamp (BAS340) will provide the audience with a full training experience focused on the installation, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of BACnet IP and MS/TP networks.

Course details:

  • Fully online and self-paced
  • Overall course length is 4 hours and 22 minutes
  • Live Office Hours 3 times/week to discuss course material
  • Access to all course material for (1) one full year

 

Audience

This course is targeted towards salespersons, technicians, designers, operators, consulting engineers, and project managers who have at least 6 months of experience with BAS systems or have been through our BAS fundamentals course.

 

Pre-requisite knowledge

Fundamental awareness of the parts and pieces of BAS.

 

Objectives

  • Learn how BACnet works
  • Demonstrate knowledge of configuring BACnet IP and MS/TP networks
  • Develop the ability to troubleshoot existing BACnet networks using common troubleshooting tools.

 

Key Topics

This course will teach you how BACnet works and how to design, install, configure, and troubleshoot BACnet systems.

  • Learn the common BACnet object and property types.
  • Master the ability to troubleshoot BACnet networks
  • Understand how to configure BACnet IP and MS/TP systems
  • Learn common strategies for increasing BACnet network speed and reliability
  • Troubleshoot BACnet networks using Wireshark
  • Explore how BACnet services work

 

Successful completion will require:

Viewing of all video lessons in their entirety;

Passing a Final Exam with a score of 70% or better;

Completing a Student Course Exit Evaluation.

Upon successful completion you will:

Receive a Certificate of Completion and your name will be added to the certification database.
