Why integrators use it
Niagara's built-in charting covers the basics, but customers increasingly ask for energy dashboards, equipment comparisons and executive views that would normally mean custom web development. QAGCharts gives integrators a ready-made widget set that matches a professional graphics package, so those requests can be met inside the station with standard Niagara configuration.
Charts
• Line Chart: point history over a selected period, with zoom
• Sparkline: a compact live trend next to the current value
• Comparison Chart: this period against the last, with average percent change
• Candlestick: daily open, high, low and close, with moving averages
• ThemeRiver: several histories as stacked streams over time
• Bar Chart: live values compared side by side
• Pie/Donut Chart: each point's share of a total
• Funnel: sequential stages sized by value, such as an alarm workflow
• Treemap: live values as rectangles, grouped by parent
• Gauge: dial or linear gauge in 6 styles, colored by warning and alarm thresholds
• KPI Card: one live value in large type with its latest change
• Totals: sum, average, min, max, count or range across points
• Liquid Fill: animated tank or vessel level
• Scatter Chart: two histories plotted against each other, such as demand vs. outside air, with a trend line
• Heatmap: history by hour of day and weekday in 3 modes
• Radar: several values on their own scales, such as zone comfort
• Sankey: energy or resource flow from utility to building to systems
• Boxplot: the spread of each point's history
Tables
• Query Table: live BQL/NEQL results, sortable and searchable
• Equipment Matrix: one row per unit, one column per point, ideal for VAV and terminal unit summaries
• Report Grid Table: Niagara Report Service data in a matching style
• History Rollup Table: history summarized by hour, day, week or month, with CSV export
A History Browser widget lists every trended point in the station. Operators can drag a point onto any chart to explore it on the fly.
Configuration and styling
Widgets bind through point and history ORDs in the property sheet, with up to 8 series per multi-series chart. Colors, labels, thresholds and table styles can be set per widget, and five built-in color schemes cover light and dark interfaces. That makes it easy to match an existing company graphics standard.
Common uses
Energy management dashboards, operations center views, executive and tenant reporting, commissioning and fault detection review, and equipment summary pages.
Updates
Current customers receive new widgets, including the newest table additions, through their existing download link at no additional cost.
